Most dehumidifying products on the market require refilling with salt-based absorbing agents.
Yet Pingi dehumidifiers are unique as they never require refilling. The Pingi also will not leak as the moisture is held in suspension bysilica gel, which is harmless to humans and the environment. Pingi products can be discarded in landfills. It will have no more negative effects on the environment than sand. On the other hand, competing brands that use salt-based products are not recommended for disposal in public landfills as the chlorine and salt can seep into underground water tables.

Recharging Pingis
Recharging instructions for Pingi damp absorbers
Pingi rechargeable damp absorbers are a sustainable and environmentally friendly solution to combat moisture and mould problems. Recharging Pingis is possible in a microwave (600W) or in the sun. Please follow the guidelines below when recharging your Pingi moisture absorber to yield superior results.
The penguin indicator on Pingi damp absorbers will gradually change colour from blue to light pink as the silica gel within the bag absorbs the moisture until it reaches the point of saturation. The indicator is a rough guide only, and we recommend weighing the Pingi to determine when recharging is necessary. Each Pingi can absorb approximately 30% of its weight before recharging is required. Recharging in a microwave tends to produce a superior result and is quicker than recharging Pingis in the sun.
Fast recharging in the microwave oven!
Remove the string bow and place your Pingi with the indicator facing upwards on a plate (with folded kitchen paper underneath) into aclean, fat and grease-free microwave oven (600W)for the time specified below.
Pingi Mini: 3 minutes
Pingi Bag: 5 minutes
Pingi XL: 6 minutes, then remove Pingi XL for 5 minutes and dry the microwave and then place your Pingi back into the microwave for another 6 minutes.
The moisture indicator will change colour from light pink back to blue after recharging. Let your Pingi cool off and reposition the bow after 5-10 minutes.
Please note if you are using a stronger microwave oven (eg. 1000W), please reduce the above times by 40%.
Your Pingi damp absorber is ready for use again!
Please Note: Do not rip the bag and use only according to packaging instructions. Never place Pingi damp absorbers into a microwave when the indicator is blue or before it has reached its original weight + 30% as it can split and be permanently damaged. Make sure your microwave is clean before recharging your Pingi.

I love it! This is really working! I bought few things, use it, and waited for a results. After two month's of use I can say it, it is improved situation with mould at my household. It's less visible mould on surfaces, it doesn't reappear as soon as before. In some places like showers I used it twice and results keeps much longer and cleaner! ( just one detail, I also clean with domestos after for cleaner results, less stains from mould).
Also my kids were less sick with cold & flu during this winter and air conditioner smells great. So highly recommended!

Only used it for three weeks now and there is little or no mould visible. Where in the past mould would be visible over that period of time,, so for so good
The Pingi Mini 150g Moisture Absorber is a real game changer for me. I use them in the lounge room and bedroom and am very impressed with them. It only takes a few minutes to recharge them in the microwave, and they are ready to go again.
I had used a bunnings brand with no luck. This one though was amazing. My nightstand looked as if it were being claimed by nature and had a musty smell and white all over it. I cleaned as per label then polishednthe tablenand its better than new! Need to order more for other furniture! Thank you.

Love it. Got this for our caravan that had been sitting vacant for 5 years before we purchased it. Had a musty smell that we couldn’t get rid of. Now it has completely disappeared. Thank you for a great product.
Had a musty smell after buying a house and come into winter using the gas ducted heating. We spent a lot of money to change the air return shute but there was still a smell. We got a pack of san-air products to put around the place and after a couple of days, the smell has gone. It is great walking into my home without being smacked in the face with the bad odour.
This is an excellent product. It may seem an odd to say, but when I open the fridge, it feels like I'm met with a breath of fresh air. Vegetables and other items are staying fresher too.
I bought this product as it has been unseasonably wet where we live and I was worried about mould. They appear to be working as haven't had any issues at all.
